Three infinity pools of heated seawater sit on the Húsavíkurhöfði cape, 49 meters above Skjálfandi Bay — the same bay where whale-watching boats operate out of Húsavík below. GeoSea fills its pools from geothermal boreholes rather than the usual Icelandic freshwater springs, so the water carries a mild saltiness and mineral content said to benefit the skin. Temperature holds steady at 38–39°C year-round with constant fresh flow and no chemicals added. The site is built from local lava rock and slate, with three pools stepping down the cliff at different levels and temperatures. The largest catches the widest panorama; the smallest and warmest sits tucked to one side. A swim-up bar and bistro are on site. On clear winter nights, the northern lights are visible from the pools without moving. GeoSea is a paid attraction — adult admission runs around 7,490 ISK, with lower rates for children and seniors. Booking ahead is strongly recommended from June through August, when capacity fills quickly. Winter hours are shorter (roughly 17:00–22:00); summer stretches to 23:00. The facility sits a short walk from Húsavík's harbour.
